It was a scary moment for some Salina teens at Kanopolis Lake Wednesday. A B-52 mistakenly dropped nine practice bombs on the lake.
A Salina teen and some friends were swimming when they saw it happen. The commander of the nearby Smoky Hill National Guard range says the bombs were filled with concrete and posed no danger. The bombing mistake is being investigated.
Can you imagine - hanging out at the lake in the middle of Kansas & suddenly you're being bombed by the Nat'l Guard!?!
