We were sitting in church yesterday as one of the pastors gave the final prayer. He was about a sentence in when the fire alarm went off. There was a really quick "in Jesus' name, amen. You are dismissed!"
Turns out a kid in the nursery pulled the alarm. Why it is code for the pulls to be low enough for a child who cannot understand the concept of fire alarms to reach, I'll never understand.
Oh well. It made for a different dismissal than normal and there were no flames in the new church, so it's all good.
